Views Across Edinburgh and Beyond

What truly sets MEGC apart is its breathtaking setting. As you move through the round, you get a perspective of Edinburgh that few other places can match. From the 13th tee, you look directly down toward Edinburgh Castle and the Firth of Forth, while other spots on the course offer clear views out to North Berwick Law and the Pentland Hills. It is a scenic backdrop that makes even a tough round feel worthwhile.

A Fun and Memorable Layout

Beyond the views, the course is defined by its unique character and historic design. It is a fun layout that makes the most of the natural terrain, with several elevated tees providing a great perspective on the challenge ahead.

One of the most notable features is our rare Square Green, a traditional element that provides a completely different test for your short game. You will also find plenty of variety across the eighteen holes, including our standout par 3, “Tap o’ the World.” At 210 yards from an elevated position, the 13th is a quirky and memorable hole that requires a precise shot, particularly when the Edinburgh wind is coming off the hills.

Beyond the 18th

The experience continues in the clubhouse once your round is finished. We invite you to visit the Pentland Bar for a drink or book a table in our restaurant to enjoy great food with views that rival those found on the course.
